Milestones

  • • HYBA is born (2019)

    • HYBA develops its swappable battery system (October 2020)

    • HYBA creates its first functional running prototype (December 2020)

  • • HYBA receives first grant by European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) (May 2021)

    • HYBA joins European Swappable Batteries Motorcycle Consortium (SBMC) with Honda, Piaggio, KTM, Polaris and other major motorcycle manufacturers (March 2022)

    • HYBA develops wall station concept (April 2022)

    • Italian Affiliate Hyba Srl starts its operations (June 2022)

    • HYBA is awarded funding from EIT Raw Materials under the SME Booster Call (October 2022)

  • • Patent filed for advanced cell connection technology (April 2023)

    • Design Mandate from SBMC for Swappable Battery Standardization (October 2023)

    • HYBA is awarded the Italian grant START 4.0, aimed at the customization of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (October 2023)

    • HYBA is granted funding from the Horizon - European Union program for the Stan4Swap project as part of the CSA 2ZERO initiative, focusing on standardization (November 2023)

    • Secured funds from international private investor (December 2023)

    • Member of STAN4SWAP consortium (inc. Piaggio, KTM, CENELEC), defining an EU roadmap for standardization of swappable batteries for light vehicles (January 2024)

    • Development of TCU (Telematics Control Unit) finalized, enabling cloud connectivity and user-interface access (April 2024)

    • Successful HYBA POD reveal at Ecomondo - the Green Technology Expo (November 2024)

  • • Strengthened position in European mobility ecosystem through active participation in the EVBAT project, successfully completing key validation activities and advancing battery technology toward large-scale deployment

    • Showcased at EICMA 2025 Exhibition, gaining strong visibility and engagement from OEMs and component manufacturers across the light-mobility sector (November 2025)

    • Launched multiple pilot projects with vehicle makers, fleet operators, and infrastructure partners, expanding our network of customers (ongoing)
